Vistry progresses delivery of 133 new homes in Burwell, Cambridgeshire
Vistry, the UK’s leading provider of mixed tenure homes, is progressing the second phase of its Burwell development, marking another step in the delivery of this thriving new neighbourhood for Cambridgeshire residents.
This second phase will deliver 133 homes, including 52 affordable homes in partnership with CBRE Investment Management’s UK Affordable Housing Fund, with full handover expected in February 2029. An additional 35 homes will be delivered to Bricklane, with handover scheduled for March 2029, with the remaining 46 homes private.
The new homes will range from two to five bedrooms and incorporate a range of sustainable features, including solar panels and electric vehicle charging points as standard. The scheme will also include a play area to support residents’ wellbeing and create a welcoming neighbourhood environment.
The second phase follows the strong progress of Phase 1, which comprises 138 homes and is currently under construction. Work on Phase 2 is scheduled to begin in March 2026, with initial handovers expected later this year.
Alex Stark, Managing Director for Vistry East Anglia, said: “With Phase 1 progressing strongly and our affordable housing partners now confirmed, we are well placed to move forward with the second phase of the Burwell development. Our focus remains on creating a neighbourhood that delivers quality homes for local people and a thriving community for years to come.”
